Home Schooling

blogged by me domestic goddess On 1/29/2010 12:57:00 PM
Firstly, I started this post Friday, and it never got published and since this post I have been nurse to one hangover, and 2 poorly girls! So here goes Fridays post.

Today Lilly has been of school with a barking cough and snotty nose, bless her. Lilly has cheered up a bit so we decided to "play" schools.
This morning we had Science; we made a lava lamp. You have to make one of these, so easy and you will have everything in the cupboard that you need, well accept I didn't have any food colouring, which I cannot believe, but we will go get some and make another one this weekend.

Fill a bottle/plastic drinks bottle 2/3rd with water

Add a few drops of food colouring (if you have)

Fill up the bottle with vegetable oil

And add a teaspoon of salt and watch the magic ( or in our case miss the magic when trying to photograph!)

Photographing lava bubbles and adding salt is not easy, hence no effect, LOL

We had lunch and then this afternoon PE; this included Wii Sports and Wii Lets Dance, hehehe, hey its still physical!

This afternoons lesson includes some arts and crafts with moon sand!

Finally here is a preview of what's to come next week. With Valentines just around the corner, I am going to share some Valentine ideas, from a mini book, giftbags and baking!

Thanks for stopping by

Anna x
