Paper Flower Tutorial 3

blogged by me domestic goddess On 1/18/2010 04:19:00 PM
I am slightly obsessed with making flowers out of paper at the moment. Today's tutorial is a paper rose, although I think mine resembles more of a daffodil, LOL
Go grab your supplies :

Pattern paper (I used Jenni Bowlin), scissors, 6 petal flower punch/die or template, pencil, glue dots.

Trace or punch your flower 3 times and cut out.

Now cut out 1 petal from a flower, 2 petals from the next and 3 petals from the 3rd flower, as shown

Take the 1st flower with 1 petal cut out, and join together with a glue dot

Now do the same to the other 2 flowers.

Use a pencil to bend the petals slightly as shown

Take your scissors and snip a little from the bottom of each of the flower components

Start building your rose by placing each flower into the other; secure with a glue dot or two

With the left over petals, roll to make the inside petal of the flower. Snip the end off so that it fits snuggly inside your rose.

Finish by rolling the petals again if needed, and maybe add some sparkle or ink to the edges.

Here is a card I made with my Rose.

Supplies : Card Papermania, Papers Jenni Bowlin, Ribbon, Cosmo Cricket tag, Prima glitter wings, Cherry Artes Chipboard.

I hope you enjoyed my new tutorial. Please link me to your creations, I love seeing what you have made.
